Mérida, Yucatán - July, 2025.The Palace Company has announced the temporary closure of Beach Palace, its flagship family resort in Cancún’s Hotel Zone, as part of an ambitious USD $60 million renovation project starting August 15. As the very first property in the company’s portfolio - and a favorite among guests and Palace Elite members - Beach Palace is entering a new chapter in its legacy of effortless luxury and unforgettable beachfront hospitality.
The transformation will be comprehensive: all guest rooms will be fully renovated, while exciting new dining venues, entertainment areas, and exclusive experiences will be introduced. A revamped water park will also enhance the pool area, featuring a larger main waterslide and two new flumes, amplifying the fun for families and kids.
Among the building's highlights is a newly reimagined lobby offering a more welcoming and streamlined arrival experience, complete with a boulangerie, a buffet restaurant with covered terrace, and refreshed versions of Tavola, Tacos, the Palace Elite lounge, Memories photo space, and updated retail shops. On the mezzanine level, guests will find Wired, a Playroom, the MOMO restaurant, the exclusive Diamond Lounge, and a modern Sports Bar - now connected for the first time to the resort’s event facilities via an elegant elevated bridge.
The ground floor of the event building will house Carvao restaurant and a state-of-the-art theater. On the second floor, guests will enjoy a fully upgraded spa featuring hydrotherapy areas, a beauty salon, and a fully equipped gym. Finally, the third-floor rooftop, designed exclusively for adults, will feature two pools, a snack bar, and the new Madre Mía rooftop bar, offering panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea.
The renovation is expected to take approximately six months, with Beach Palace scheduled to reopen in 2026. The new design will honor the resort’s original spirit while elevating its offerings to a new level - solidifying its place as one of Cancún’s most beloved and recognized all-inclusive family resorts.
